Les Miserables
An official teaser trailer has been released for the Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper's adaptation of producer Cameron Mackintosh's Les Miserables musical. Film depicts the struggle of lower-class citizens in the early 19th century France, seen through the eyes of characters of the ex-convict Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) and struggling single mother Fantine (Anne Hathaway).

Yesterdays batch of official images of Les Miserables plagued the design of the films, ancient setting, along with the look of the cast of character. The first theatrical promo offers even more of it, along with an excerpt from Hathaway's rendition of the famous Les Mierables tune "I dreamed a dream".   Beyond attention to the small details that cast gaunt appearances wretched state of city architecture and sets in the film are quite impressive.

Something that immediately jumps out of Hathaway's song (in a good way) is how naturalistic and raw it sounds.Direct result of Hoopers decision to have the whole Les Miserables cast perform their songs live during production.Anne Hathaways musical performance feel more in its environment, in contrast, sounds like something recorded and copied over to a separate time, just like every other movie in musicals in history.

Speaking of movies landscape: Les Miserables has the appearance of an authentic period piece, which is nicely illustrated by the teaser trailer. This also applies to the different styles camera work exhibited in early recordings, ranging from swooping images of rebellious French peasants, rough hand-held shots of Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe), riding his horse through the rain. Credit for everything that belongs to the triumvirate that director Tom Hooper, cinematographer Danny Cohen, and production designer Eve Stewart, who previously worked together on The Kings Speech.

Overall Hooper to take on Les Miserables comes out as  prestigious in the musical melodrama. Something that will win  moviegoers. For fans of Les Miserables musical there good reason to be pleased with Hollywood's treatment of the show to what been so far... The teaser Trailer give us something to look forward to watch....
