Doraemon: Nobita in the Great Battle of the Mermaid King
In this animated Japanese film, we see Doraemon and the gang embark on an underwater quest. Fans of this Adorable anime character will certainly be happy to see familiar faces as Shizuka, Suneo, Gian and Doraemon's little sister, Dorami, making their appearances in this movie.
It starts with Nobita, a fifth grader, returning home in tears after being teased by his friends. In an attempt to put down Suneo bragging about his diving trip, Nobita asks Doraemon to take him diving. Doraemon whips out the Underwater Pump Simulator to drown the entire city, Tokyo underwater. Then, using the mask Simulator, he Nobita and dive into the sunken streets where they face a dangerous shark attack.The next morning Nobita alarmed Sophia, Princess of Mermaid Kingdom, found in his backyard. Sophia brings Nobita and his friends to visit her world. The surprised to see an exotic city full of life many feet under water.
Now rumor has it that there is a legendary sword that will make anyone in possession of the most powerful creature of all. This sword is wanted by both the Mermaid Kingdom and The Evil Fish Clan. Sophia has to summon all her wit and courage to stop her ruthless rivals from getting to it.
Shizuka is confused with the princess, kidnapped by her enemies, who are looking for clues that will lead them to the sword. With the help of Nobita, Doraemon and Dorami, ran Sophia against time to save Shizuka. The two robotic cats whipping out many smart weapons from their magical pockets and make it just in time to save Shizuka.The film has a simple story that basically ends with A good win over evil. Younger members of the public will be inspired by Nobita and Sophia, who put through to the end, despite all odds. May find disaapointing for older fan, the narrative is to long and plot is not refreshing.Luckily, The film is full of humor and the characters are so loveable!
